New Favorites ...

Hey Guys

I've been doing a bit of makeup shopping recently, and I have got a few new products that I feel like I should share with you all, seen as I'm enjoying them so much. This is going to be all makeup and skin care (and it might be quite long), I will do a fashion favorites post very soon for you all.

So after getting back from Singapore and Thai land, my skin needed a little bit of TLC, and I just wasn't liking what I using, in fact I was disliking my current skin care routine, I'd actually stopped using most of it, so I threw it all away and decided to get some new products. I must have a spent a good 30 to 45 minutes looking around boots and looking at all the skin care before I decided to go for Soap and glory. I mean I love their shower products (my personal favorite is the sugar crush collection it smells sooooo good) so naturally I thought I would love their skin care and I was right. I picked up three products from their skincare collection.

Peaches and clean, this is a 4 in 1 wash off deep cleansing milk and I have to say this stuff is amazing my skin feels so clean and soft after using it, I use it in the mornings when I wake up but I also use it after I have used a makeup wipe to remove my eye makeup to remove my foundation.

The greatest scrub of all, this is an excellent exfoliator, it has really tiny exfoliating particles so doesn't feel too harsh on your skin, I use this around 3 times a week, I find my makeup always looks so much better when I exfoliate regularly.

The fab pore hot cloth cleanser, this is a cleanser which is like a thick balm feeling cleanser, which comes with a thin muslin cloth, you simply rub the cleanser in for around 60 seconds, then press it off with a damp warm muslin cloth. I use this in the evenings when my skin is feeling like it needs good clean, also I find the lavender in it very relaxing before bed.

Now for eye shadows I have a few new favorites, Ive really enjoyed experimenting with different eye looks at the moment, even in the day time.

First are these two paint pots from MAC that I picked up before I went on holiday, but at the moment I'm really enjoying these. The colours I have are Vintage selection which is light champagne colour, and Let me pop which is a gorgeous bronze colour.

VIntage selection

Let me pop

There are four MAC eyeshadows that I also really love at the moment and these are nylon, naked lunch, sumptuous olive and club.

Nylon is a very shimmery creamy colour, I find this to shimmery to use all over my lid but it’s a beautiful inner corner highlight.

Naked lunch is a pale pink shimmer which is an amazing all over lid colour, it looks great on its own, or with another colour blended into the crease.

Sumptuous olive, is a colour I had always eyed up at the MAC counter and I finally took the plunge and bought it, and I'm so glad I did I have used this colour so much more than I thought I would, its great just swept over the lid for an everyday little pop of colour, but also works well in a smokey eye.

And this last colour is now my new favourite, and thats club it’s this gorgeous dual tone colour, which is this really interesting colour, it has teal/green undertones but when blended turns into a brown colour with green undertones, it's great for a quick makeup look as you only need the one shadow.

Also for eyes I thought I would try the new maybeline mascara, I am obsessed with the falsies in my opinion it is the best mascara out there, but when I saw this one I couldn't resist giving it a try, it's the mega plush volume express, and whats different about this the mascara has a gel formula so it's supposed to be more flexible on your lashes and not dry out and leave those annoying black little flakes under your eyes. Just like most of the other maybeline mascaras, it's super black and gives amazing volume and this one actually works really well layer d with the falsies mascara.

Now for lipsticks I have gone a little lipstick crazy over the last few months, and pick up a wide range of shades.

Firstly are the Maybeline vivid lipsticks, this is a collection of super bright, glossy moisturising lipsticks in some gourgeous colours I picked up four for myself.

Shocking coral which as the name suggests is a bright coral colour.

Fuchsia flash, a super bright hot pink.

Neon red, a bright red with an orange undertone.

Hot plum, a bright purple which sounds scary, but with the right makeup can look amazing.

Also from maybeline I picked up two nuetrals from the moisture extreme collection, because you can never have too many nueatral lipsticks in my opinion.

Luminous beige which is a sheer very brown toned neutral  so I need to make sure I don't pack too much of this one on myself as it sometimes looks a little strange on me, which this one a little is definitely better.

Pinky beige, I love this colour it's not taken over the spot of my favourite neutral which is kinda sexy from mac but it comes in a close second, as the name suggests it a pink neutral and looks amazing on any skin tone, if you need a neutral lipstick I would definitely go and pick this one up.

And last is a MAC lipstick and it's Girl about town, this a bright pink with blue undertones (which makes your teeth look super white) what I love about this pink is that it isn't to bubblegummy or baby pink, this colour would work well on any skin colour or any age, it looks amazing in the day with a very plain eye but also looks lovely in the evening with a light smokey eye.

These two fragrance mists from Victoria’s secret that I picked up from duty free in Singapore airport. I have been after some of these for a while but unfortunately here in Manchester we don’t have a Victoria’s secret store (that’s all soon to change however with a store opening up in the Trafford Centre very soon), and well we had a few hours to kill in the airport and I had some Singapore dollars left so I treated myself to two fragrances.

Love spell, which is probably one of the most popular smells, it is cherry blossom and peach but when I first spray this all I can smell is like peach flavoured water, this scent definitely gets better once you’ve had it on for a while.

Hello darling, is one that I was drawn to instantly I don’t know if it was the bright colour or the really cute name, but I love this one, it is white nectarine and peony, I just find it smells lovely and fresh, and I have even found myself spraying this in my room just so I can constantly smell it.

And lastly  I know this isn't really beauty related but I do have a little candle addiction, and about a week ago i found myself buying this candle that I never imaged I'd buy, and its the Sicilian lemon candle from Yankee candle, this just smells so fresh and clean but its not got to much of an overpowering lemony smell.

I know this is a really long post so well done if you got through it all, I’m planning on doing a fashion favourites post very soon, along with a post on what I’ve been wearing to interviews lately and what hair and makeup I wear to them.

Also I think I’m going to do a few 1920’s themed hair and makeups, seen as everyone is going Gatsby crazy at the moment, so they will be coming pretty soon.

OOTD grey and gold ...

Hey guys

So I've been racking my brain on some posts to do recently, and I thought I'd do a few outfit of the days for you.

The other day I was just going up to university and doing work in the library, so this outfit is a lot to do with comfort. I'll add a list at the end of where I got everything from and how much it cost.

I'm wearing this thin grey jumper with three quarter sleeves and is longer at the back then the front ( perfect for when your wearing leggings), then as usual I have on my black leggings. Over the top I'm wearing my black leather jacket this time with the fur collar left on.

For shoes i'm wearing my white converse.

For accessories for my bag, I'm using my rose gold Ted Baker bag, also in rose gold I have my Michael  Kors watch , this long cross necklace. I have on my initial midi ring and a plain gold thumb ring, and finally round my ankle i have a blue bead anklet.

Hair and makeup I wanted to keep pretty simple,I just have my hair scraped back into a high pony tail. I don't have any foundation on today just concealer under the eyes and some bronzer to give me a little colour. I kept the eyes pretty simple and just packed on some of MAC's sumptuous olive and added a tiny bit of mulch into the crease the blend it out, then I did my usual thing of piling on as much mascara as I could I know its not to everyone's taste but I like it, I finished off the look with my Korres lipbutter in Quince  and a quick spray of the Victoria's secret body spray in Hello Darling.
