Lazy girl hair ...

If you are anything like me you can get a bit lazy when it comes to doing your hair, most days I have mine shoved on top on my head in a messy bun. So I thought I'd do a few posts called lazy girl hair, with a few different easy ideas for hair styles for those of us who don't want to get up at the crack of dawn and take about 3 hours doing our hair.

This first one is probably the least lazy out of all of my looks, as it does require hot rollers, but the beauty with hot rollers is, once you've put them in you can get on with everything else you want to do, and take the rollers out just before leaving the house. For this look I'm using my enrapture hot rollers, I love these as you get 10 large and 10 medium so you get nice big curls from them.

Have you ever had one of those spontaneous nights out or decided last minuet to meet a friend, and your look like the mirror and realise you have 2 day old greasy flat hair, but there's not enough time to wash, dry and style it all. Then this hair style might be the one for you.

This is my very lovely two day old greasy flat hair, it's not really looking it's best, I started out by brushing out any knots and putting a little bit of my batiste dry shampoo, my favourite is the tropical, just make sure you rub it in well if you have dark hair, you don't want that tell tale sign of grey tinted dusty looking roots.

Next don't forget to put on plenty on heat protection spray, as your hair is sitting in constant heat for around 15 minuets before the rollers cool down.

Then I separate the hair in front of ears on both sides, this is the hair that will frame my face, so I will put the rollers in here a little different to the rest of my head.Section these front section into two making the top section a little larger then the bottom. Brush it upwards, place the roller at the end of the hair and roll away from the face, using the large roller, then do the same again with the smaller section using the smaller roller.

Now its time for the rest of the hair, split the hair in half, then separate each section into two using the top of your ear as the marker to separate  for the top section we will use the large rollers, so we have bigger bouncer curls, and then the smaller ones for the bottom layer so there is tighter curls. Now its up to you how neat you do this part and what way you put in the curlers, depending what kind of curls you want and if you want it too look more natural and messy, or sleek and perfect.

 So all the curlers are in and its just a waiting game, if I'm in more of of a rush i tend to just leave the rollers in while I get ready and put my makeup on, but like today I have a little bit more time on my hands, so I have left the rollers in while I have a tidy round the flat, the longer you leave the rollers in the the tighter the curls are the longer they will last.

 After leaving the rollers in for how ever long you want, (make sure they are cool though) start taking out the rollers, start at the bottom, this stops the hair getting tangled over other rollers, and stops you forgetting to take one out, trust me it happens, and now you have something like this which isn't really the look I want so now it's time to style it.

These curls are much too tight and bouncy for the look I want.

 Styling this hair look doesn't take too much I just use my hair spray which is my VO5 high volume extra strong hold and my L'oreal elvive extraordinary oil . I just run my fingers through the curls to separate them all and then spray with hair spray, I also like to tip my head upside down and spray my roots to add volume, if this isn't enough volume you can always take a fine tooth comb and back comb the roots and again just finish with some hair spray. Finally I like to take about half a pump of my oil and run it through the ends to finish, this smooths out the hair and adds some shine. And you are done.
